Create a case in the Passare mobile app

Create cases on the go in the Passare mobile app.

Create a case

To create a case, tap the icon from the case listing or within a case. 

A menu will slide up from the bottom. Select Case. 

Next, you'll see an Add new modal. 

Fill in: 

  • Case type
  • Branch
  • First name
  • Last name

Tap Done. 

The following fields are not seen on the create new page but will populate based on defaults set up on the back end in Passare: 

    • Funeral director
    • Case identifier
    • Case status

Funeral director will default to Unassigned

You will be able to edit this from the case > Manage > Properties after the case is created.


Once the case is created, you will be taken to the Manage tab in the case. 

You can either continue adding information to the case or go back to Cases.

A case will contain the following tabs:

  • Manage
  • Vitals
  • Family
  • Prep
  • Arrange

Each tab will populate information via cards.

For example, the Vitals tab has the following cards:

  • Basic
  • Birth
  • Death
  • Spouse
  • Parents
  • Ethnicity
  • Career
  • Veteran

On any card with populated fields, tap the icon to edit or add information.

Cards that do not have any fields populated will have a button to add details.

Family tab

The family tab has Family member cards.

Family member cards are organized in the following order:

  • Primary contact

  • Spouse

  • Children

  • Parents

  • Siblings

  • Extended family

  • Friends


Prep tab

The Prep tab has the following cards:

  • Appearance
  • Dressing
  • Embalming


Arrange tab

The Arrange tab has the following cards:

  • Obituary
  • Service details
  • Preferences
  • Disposition
