Get started with Gemynd integration

The integration between Passare and Gemynd is a one-way sync designed to automate document tracking and memorialization. Information flows exclusively from Passare to Gemynd; Gemynd does not write or change any data within Passare.

Information Shared from Passare to Gemynd

The integration automatically transfers case and decedent details for specific events that the funeral home has enabled. Based on internal documentation and the integration brief, the shared data includes:

• Case Details: General information about the case to create matching records in Gemynd's FlowVault.
• Decedent Information: Name and other vital details to identify the record.
• Family Information: Contact details used to track who owes specific documents (e.g., family, physician, or staff).
• Obituary & Photos: Synced to Gemynd's Story Scribe to jumpstart the creation of narrated life stories.
• Event-Specific Data: Only data for the specific "events" (branches or case types) that the funeral home has explicitly subscribed to is shared.

How the Data is Used in Gemynd

1. FlowVault (Document Tracking): Uses the synced case and family info to monitor outstanding paperwork (like physician signatures or death certificates) and assign responsibility for each document.
2. Story Scribe (Memorialization): Uses the decedent's obituary and family photos as a "source-grounded" starting point for creating narrated tributes. This process is initiated by the funeral director and is not automatic.

Using the Integration

Automatic Case Syncing

Once enabled, new and updated cases in Passare are sent to Gemynd automatically based on your settings.

• A matching record is created in FlowVault immediately.
• Data synced includes decedent information, family contact details, and obituary text.

Tracking Documents

1. Open your Gemynd FlowVault dashboard > Locate the synced case.
2. View the checklist of required documents. FlowVault will show who is responsible for each item.
3. Requests sent from FlowVault and returned documents will attach to the case record within Gemynd.

Creating Narrated Stories

The integration gives you a "head start" on memorialization.

1. In Gemynd, select the case you wish to memorialize  >  Launch Story Scribe.
2. The obituary and case details from Passare will be pre-populated.
3. Upload family photographs to complete the narrated life story.

Troubleshooting & FAQs

Why isn't my case showing up in Gemynd?

• Ensure the case type is enabled in your Passare integration settings.
• Check that the case has been "Published" or saved in Passare to trigger the sync.

Does Gemynd update the status of a case in Passare?

• No. The integration is one-way. You will need to manually update the case status in Passare once documents are collected in Gemynd.
