Mentioning Users in Internal Notes
The Mentioning Users in Internal Notes feature will allow users to mention other users within an Internal Note and notify them based on their settings within Alert Preferences.
USE CASE SCENARIO
A Passare user would like to alert the funeral director that a decedent’s widow will be in at 2 p.m. The user can simply type @ followed by the funeral director’s mention name, then that funeral director will receive a notification, depending on their notification settings.
Alerts & Notifications
To enable alerts for mentioning users in notes, click on the notifications icon at the top of the screen, then click on the settings cogwheel icon.
Then, turn ON the buttons for Text Messages, Bubble Alert and/or Email next to Notes Tags and click Save.
When a user is mentioned in a note, a system notification will be added and there will be a case identifier link, that when clicked, will take you to the page where the tag was added within the case (SMS Messages will not include this link.)
For more information on enabling notifications and reminders, review our Knowledge Base Article titled Alert Preferences.
USING THE FEATURE
Mentioning Users within Internal Notes
While typing a note, type the @ symbol – this will show a popover, with a list of all active users/roles within the organization. As you continue to type, the list of users/roles is narrowed down to the those that match the characters you are typing, based on the user’s first name and/or last name and/or the role title name.
If multiple users/roles are mentioned in a note, separate them with a comma and a space. For example: @Admin, @Funeral.Director, @Michael.Wazowski
To mention users with specific roles, type @ and then then type in the role title. For example, @Funeral.Director, will tag all users with the role of Funeral Director, depending on their Alert Preferences settings.
Mentioning all Users
To mention all users within an organization type in @all. This will notify all active users, depending on their Alert Preferences settings.
