Manage Planning Center notifications

Receive notifications when the family updates details in the Planning Center.

Update your profile

Update your profile with your contact information in order to receive notifications via text or email.

To do this, click on your picture in the top-right and select Profile.

 

Email notifications will go to your correspondence email address. This will default to your login email, but you can change it if you'd like to receive notification emails elsewhere.

To change it, uncheck the box and edit the correspondence email field.

Do not update in the email address field - this will change your login email!

 

If you'd like to receive text message notifications, make sure your mobile phone number is added.

Mobile numbers will not be made public but will only be used to receive text alerts.

 

When everything is updated, remember to save!

 

Notification preferences

First, make sure your Planning Center notifications are turned on.

 At the top of your screen, select Notifications and click the gear icon.  

 

Toggle the settings on/off depending on what notifications you'd like to receive.

For Planning Center, you can turn on or off notifications for the following activity:

  • Merchandise pinned - when a family pins merchandise via Planning Center Merchandise feature
  • Planning Center activity - when a family fills out information in Planning Center
  • Planning Center payments - when a family makes a payment in the Planning Center

Once you've selected your preferences, click Save.

 

View Planning Center notifications

Planning Center notifications are also found on the Case Listing.

Once you locate the case in your Case Listing, you will see an icon letting you know there's new activity.

Select the icon for a quick view.

You can also open the case and go to the Planning Center page.

From here, you can view any information the family has added to the Planning Center and the Activity Feed, which shows who has made changes.

Once you've viewed all of the notifications, you can Mark All New Activity as Read.

Notifications will only be sent once an hour. Only the funeral director assigned to the case will be notified; the secondary arranger will not be notified.
