8/19/2025 - New feature: Updated Planning Center questions

In this release, we have updated Planning Center’s Preference questions. Guided by the teachings of death care expert Dr. Alan Wolfelt, these questions are designed to help families recall details and share about their loved one.

With this feature, you get:

  • Rephrased questions that is sensitive to the grief journey
  • Access to questions in every case type (including pre-need)
  • The ability to organize questions into tabs
  • A simplified way to customize questions

8/13/2025 - New feature: Tukios Video Integration

Families can upload photos directly to Planning Center, and funeral homes can craft heartfelt tribute videos in minutes with our Tukios Video Integration.

With this release, you can:

  • Gather photos for tribute videos without leaving Passare

  • Seamlessly create and edit memorial videos

8/7/2025 - New feature: Updates to Reminders

To simplify how Passare Reminders are created, we’ve made the following updates:

  • Clock icon no longer has Add Reminder function or gear icon
    • Moving forward, Reminders should be added from a task or event
    • Notification Preferences can be accessed from the bell icon

  • We removed Care Center reminders and Reminders widget

  • Upcoming reminders can be viewed and managed from the clock icon

7/31/2025 - New feature: AI Assistant

Built into Passare, AI Assistant instantly offers recommendations based on case details entered by your team in Passare and by the family in Planning Center.

7/24/2025 - New feature: Multiple Preparation Due dates

Easily track deadlines in Care Center with multiple Preparation Due dates! Now, rather than logging a singular deadline for all body prep, you can create preparation deadlines for specific tasks or services.

With this release, you can:

  • Schedule deadlines for embalming, dressing, and more

  • Tie Preparation Due dates to services like Viewing, Graveside, and others

  • View due dates on dashboards and reports

  • Get notified of newly added due dates

6/10/2025 - New feature: Financials in Passare mobile

We’ve added contract and payment details to Passare’s mobile app!

With mobile financials, you can access:

  • Contracts added to a case and their totals

  • Goods & Services added to contracts

  • Remaining balance on contracts and payment details

5/28/2025 - New features: Case Listing improvements

View case data the way you'd like with these new features:

  • Column truncating: Consolidate details on Case Listing to see more cases in your view.
    • In this feature, you get to decide which columns will abbreviate data to a single row. Details can always be viewed upon hover or by resizing your column!

  • Sortable events: We've improved how event columns sort so you can see what’s happening now and what’s coming next.

    • All events currently happening will show (Now) in front of it!

5/20/2025 - Planning Center updates

What's new:

  • Limit the number of files and photos the family can upload in Planning Center
  • Set a lock date when files and photos can no longer be uploaded in Planning Center 

 

4/9/2025 - New feature: Notification updates

Keep tabs on Passare activity with our improved notifications! With new design and functionality, notifications are centralized and easier to read.

Updates include:

  • Reminder activity added to notification feeds
  • New notification icons, including user avatars
  • Redesigned reminder emails & texts
  • Improved bubble alerts
  • Redesigned alert preferences modal

4/2/2025 - New feature: Preparation Status

We’ve added a new field to Care Center: Preparation Status! This customizable status allows your care team to stay organized throughout the whole body preparation process.

Key features include:

  • New Care Center field to track when a body is Not started, In progress, or Complete
  • Option to customize status per disposition type
  • Ability to view status in dashboards and case information sidebar

3/20/2025 - Passare updates

What's new:

  • In Batch Forms, we made the 'Trade Business' and 'Pet Business' filters to appear in A > Z order
  • We added a way to edit the venue address from the 'Add event' modal (Rolodex icon)
  • We added a way to reverse G&S item deletions (by using the x next to that deleted item)
  • We created quick links to Account Details and Forms for our internal teams
  • We added new options to the Date filter in Task Widget

 

3/17/2025 - Passare updates

What's new:

  • Planning center payment links have been shortened
  • Price list updates can now be scheduled for a later date
  • We increased the length of Personal Health Numbers (for Canadian firms) to allow for dashes

 

3/14/2025 - Performance improvements

We've improved the speed and functionality of Passare by focusing on heavy lifting areas of the platform. Specifically, we have:

  • Updated how searches index in areas like Price List, Rolodex, Batch Deposits, User Reports, Task widget, and CLAIMCHECK widget
  • Enabled a tracking tool to help our teams better troubleshoot issues
  • Optimized queries to speed up functions like adding Family & Friends, calendar events, user edits, and care center edits

 

3/3/2025 - Passare updates

What's new:

  • We added the ability to account for multiple Social Security Number formats
  • We added the ability to run reports by the 'Beginning to Last Month' date range
  • We added a rule to only show 'Completed' Deluxe payments in User Reports
  • We added Permissions to lock the Accounting page (with exception of Accounting Lock Date)
  • We added additional Roles & Permissions for Checklist users

 

2/21/2025 - Passare updates

What's new:
  • We added a rule where Caller Address defaults to the funeral home's location (such as US or Canada)
  • We added a Marital status option for "Common Law" and Relationship of "Common Law Spouse"

 

2/14/2025 - Passare updates

What's new:

  • We added a "Bi-monthly" option when scheduling to run System reports automatically
  • We added a "Bi-monthly" option when scheduling to run User reports automatically
  • We added "Last 2 Weeks" as a date range option when creating User reports
  • We added "Past 2 Weeks" as a date range option when creating User reports
  • We added Permissions for users to update the tax rate used on a contract item
  • We added "Cremate with Decedent" to the personal items action dropdown in Care Center
  • We removed the ability to delete Client Service Types for At-Need and Imminent Need cases when the Client Service Type is associated with an existing Price List Package for At-need Arrangement Guide (ANAG)
  • We excluded tax items by default when copying Funeral Directors Life pre-need contracts

 

1/27/2025 - New feature: Event settings

Tailor your calendar’s events with our new Event settings. With this redesigned Event modal, you can:

  • Create repeating and all-day events

  • Edit & delete a repeating event's occurrence or series

  • Add multiple events back-to-back

  • Receive event reminders via text, email, or in-app notifications
